The Madison Jewelry Box - Black may be small in size, but it's designed to keep your favorite pieces organized and close at hand. Jewelry storage couldn't be easier - this case is perfect for small collections or for keeping your "most worn" pieces separate from the rest of your jewelry. Or use it as a travel case!

Covered in plush fabric in a rich black, this jewelry box features a snap closure decorated with faux diamonds in a star shape. Inside the lid is a convenient mirror and four equally-sized compartments. Two of the compartments are open to store all types of pieces, and two of them have built-in ring rolls for safe, organized ring storage. The interior of this box is lined by hand with sand-colored suede fabric, soft enough for even your finest jewelry.

About Mele
Emidio Mele, an Italian immigrant to the United States, came to New York City in 1896 and learned to make jewelry boxes as an apprentice before founding Mele Manufacturing in 1912. He began by designing and building elegant displays for jewelry store windows. His jewelry box making business grew throughout the 1900s, responding to demands for boxes to hold Purple Hearts during WWII and developing as a popular household name for quality jewelry boxes. Today Mele Jewelry Box is known as the Mele Companies, which encompass various divisions under the Mele name. Now based in Utica, N.Y., Mele still upholds the family atmosphere on which it was founded and remains America's foremost name in jewelry cases.
