The armoire requires assembly and I had to drill screw holes in the top myself. It is on three legs and rocks precariously on the carpeting; I would only recommend for a hard floor surface. The armoire is very small too, so you have to bend over to find pendants. The wood is beautiful--I just wish I had bought a bigger one and had a flat surface to put it on.
